APHIS-Approved Products for Import of Livestock From New World Screwworm-Affected Countries

Last Modified: June 07, 2026

This page lists products APHIS has approved for treatment and prevention of New World screwworm (NWS) in foreign-origin livestock presented for import into the United States. These products are approved only if used in accordance with the label directions and applicable import protocols and health certificates.

We will update this list as APHIS approves more products for this purpose. If you're looking for information about products approved to treat and prevent NWS in U.S. domestic animals, visit the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

List of APHIS-Approved Products for Livestock Imports

APHIS approval is based on supporting scientific evidence that the products are effective for the prevention and/or treatment of NWS larval infestation. Approvals are species-specific, as noted below, and only for pre-export treatment of these animals when seeking to import into the United States.

Products containing active ingredients in addition to those listed in the table below or in different combinations must be approved by APHIS prior to use. Products may not contain any ingredient banned for use in the United States. For more information, contact laie@usda.gov.
